Unity Campus unites for a festive cause
At Unity Campus, we believe in the power of collaboration and community spirit, especially during the festive season.
This year, championed by Amy Prossor, Associate Director at PhoreMost, we’ve organised a Campus-wide Christmas food hamper collection to support the Cambridge City Foodbank Christmas Hamper Appeal.
Inspired by the individual efforts of companies like GetBusy, Domainex, and PhoreMost in running independent food bank collections last year, Amy proposed the idea of collaborating on a Campus-wide collection during a social committee meeting and the appeal was launched.
In a remarkable joint effort, we have collected a generous total of 45 hampers, which were loaded onto a minibus, kindly supplied by Morgan Sindall. Before delivering the hampers to Cambridge City Foodbank, we collected additional parcels from Howard Group and Mantle Space.
We are grateful for the overwhelming support from member companies who have donated food hampers to this worthy cause. These include:
- Cuttsy+Cuttsy
- Liminal Biosciences
- Telensa
- PhoreMost
- Morgan Sindall
- Red Graphic
- Howard Group
- Mantle Space
- GetBusy
- Domainex
Jess Harvey-Bowman, Community Engagement Manager, Unity Campus, said: “Sadly, the Foodbank has received its highest ever number of requests for food hampers this year. We are therefore very pleased to support the appeal and glad that our efforts will go some way to support families in crisis this Christmas.
“Our relationship with the Foodbank doesn’t end here. I am meeting with the team in Cambridge in the new year to discuss volunteering opportunities for Campus members and continued food collections here at Unity Campus to help make a positive impact in our local community.”
