Local Community

Open… not just for business

We are delighted to be of part of the evolving story of Sawston, bringing back a thriving industry to a village with a rich industrial heritage. We want to do our bit in supporting the local economy, not only as a place of work, but as a place that inspires and educates future generations, provides business to and opportunities for local businesses and provides a space that people in the community can use.

We were thrilled to sponsor (and take part in) this year’s Sawston Fun Run and Walk. An amazing 1,480 people took part, raising vital funds for local causes.

UnityCafé

Unity Campus now has a café for campus members and visitors to enjoy. It is open from 8am to 3pm Monday to Friday and serves a range of hot and cold food and drinks.

Volunteering Initiatives

We encourage and support volunteering initiatives via the campus team, Howard Group and member organisations. For example, we helped to facilitate a team volunteering day for campus members Domainex to clear and landscape the Sawston Village College Wellbeing Garden.

Campus-wide Collections

We operate campus-wide collections for charities such as Cambridge Food Bank, easter egg collections for local children’s charities, cake sales for local charities and quiz nights for East Anglian Air Ambulance.
