Unity Campus cements its place in Cambridge Wide Open Week

Unity Campus proudly marked Cambridge Wide Open Day on the 11th June.

We welcomed guests from across the region to discover the incredible science, innovation, and collaboration taking place on our Campus.

The morning featured two inspiring and thought-provoking talks:

– Claire Gillvray of Welbeck Health Partners explored the future of longevity, diagnostics, and preventative healthcare in her talk “Staying Alive!” – a powerful reminder of the role early intervention plays in shaping healthier lives. The six pillars of health Claire talked through were exercise, diet and nutrition, sleep, managing stress, avoiding risky substances, and connection / relationships.

– Asta Bjork Jonsdottir of PhoreMost introduced the ground-breaking molecular glue drug discovery platform – a bold, pioneering approach to tackling disease at the molecular level.

Plus, guests also had the rare opportunity to tour the laboratories at Maxion Therapeutics, where cutting-edge research and innovation were on full display.

Thanks to Unity Campus Community Engagement Manager, Jess, for leading the Campus’s involvement in #CWOD25. Jess says: “Thank you to our wonderful speakers and exhibitors for sharing insights into your exciting work. We’re grateful to everyone who joined us and helped make today’s event such a resounding success!”
